in Wonderland - 2014-2015

When Simones was restaged in 2014, In Wonderland’s character came to life. This housewife putting on her brave face and diving head first into her pan in order to burst out sobbing deserved a particular attention, if not, a piece of her own.

Elsa/Rosie in wonderland is a physical-theatre and tragi-comic solo on the damaging effects of solitude and unfulfilled dreams. It is a race to fiery femininity.
On Reveries of a Solitary Dancer who tirelessly, would be waiting for Godot.

The performance is at the edge of dance and theatre; Elsa/Rosie is hybrid, irrational, sad, hilarious, quirky, revolutionary, sexy, ugly. Mix all these ingredients into the same pan she was bursting out sobbing in; and the result would be Wonderland.

PRESS

Léa Tirabasso pushes the audience into hearing screams as well as cheesy punch lines. Rachel, Jennifer, Rosie... her name does not matter. This paradox-woman shouts the pain of every others.
